There....now the phone has turned itself off due to low battery. That's from Sunday afternoon until Thursday mid morning. Pretty heavy usage for me too. Approx 110 hours pemanently on with lots of regular emails, calls, surfing and chess. I am bloody impressed.

There is an opportunity for someone to write another handy app, which tells you battery usage time between charges, typical consumption etc! My old Psion 2mx did that, and it was a handy wee bleeder of an app!

Now that is a good idea for an app, you should mention that in the other thread, someone is asking what apps to develop.
BTW that does sound pretty impressive, better part of a week, with regular usage? I'll see for myself as soon as mine arrives.

I've got one but am unsure where to put it. Only useful answers please !!! The instructions say to put it under the battery not touching any terminals or circuits and near to where the aerial is ? Where is the aerial ? I will post if it works for me when I've tried it out. My physics is basic but I dod know if something works or not.

This old chestnut again eh? Well, I bought one some weeks ago as you can see from my earlier post. I installed the thing and I have to say that the phone does genuinely appear to last a little longer between recharges. I've been trying to accurately measure this, but I've been having difficulty doing this due to work. I was sceptical at first, but it really does seem to be having some effect. I should note, however, that I havn't seen it having the dramatic effects that other users have, it does apepar to have extended my battery life a little, not a tiny amount, but not a large amount either.

The general concensus of opinion is that this product is a COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. Finito!

@ _spc_
I would have agreed with you in that sentiment until I tried it, although it doesn't have anywhere near the effects that the manufacturers claim that is does, it does appear to increase the battery life of my P800 by a little. If you click on that link that was posted on this thread earlier today and read the review, then I would agree with the reviewers statement that it increased the P800 battery life by around 12%, its certainly isn't the 30% claimed for the 'battery extender' but still it is apparent.
One thing to consider is that everyone who has bought and tried it has said that it works to one degree or another and so far no one who has tried it has had a terrible report of it.

I was on your side of the "consensus" until I actually got the thing...
I believe it does increase battery performance, particularly in hot and heavy useage conditions.

There's a review of the battery extender on mobileburn. See:
http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=445
The carried out some semi-scientific test and found it actually worked, although it didn't give as great an improvement as the manufacturers claim.
