any way now i am using floAts mobile agent this is lot better thx float again.
but i still need the xtnd for outlook sync.

it wasn't really requiring you to buy the softare, but that you get an upgrade for snyching your contacts. you dont need any other software to connect to the net, just the right drivers. use the SEARCH function to find out how to do it.

I had exactly the same type of problem but chose a simpler solution: I used the MobileAgent to view the entries on the SIM and in the phone. Then changed all the invalid characters in the names stored (like ¹, ê etc. not available in ascii and being replaced with ?, # or something) with plain ascii letters, synchronized that with the phone, switched to PBTM and it worked real fine (fast sync with no errors).
It seems that SE does not support fully foreign characters even if some of them can be displayed in the phone itself.
