I think the muting problem occured to me only once or so.

Otherwise I have no problems with it.

I make regular phone calls, play Java/Mophun games, take a lot of pictures and send a bit of text messages.

Hey all,

I live in Australia and own a Vodafone Live SE Z600. My Software version is R2E004. I was wondering a couple of things...

1. Should I do a software upgrade now or wait for a newer version than R5B?

2. Will the software upgrade remove the Vodafone Live software in my mobile as I don't really like the menu pics, compared to a non-VL Z600 or will it just upgrade the VL software?

Each time makes an firmware upgrade the brands (vodafone) makes an own update with the original update as base.

So you won't get rid of the vodafone branding unless you do it yourself by flashing your phone with an original firmware - or finds a place nice enough to unbrand it for you

Hey,
I just spoke to someone at a SE service centre here in Sydney, Australia. She said that when an upgrade is made they are not allowed to remove the Vodafone Live software as it will void the warranty and the mobile may not work properly after that. However, she did tell me that 6 months after the T610 was released as Vodafone Live, Vodafone released software that gives you the option to keep the VL software or remove it and have eveything SE stock instead! So she told me to call again next month to ask if such software is released for the Z600!
So I think i'll just wait for that to be relased unless someone can tell me how to do the upgrade/flash myself with the SE USB cable?!

u can't flash ya phone using ya own USB cable. u need more than that. please do not atempt to flash it yaself. try to get the expert to do it for ya. cheers mate
