I hold it for a second then it bleeps. If i say the name it dosent do anything!

When i tap it i get another sound, slightly different?

How do u just use voice dialing on the P900 without the headset - to test it first?

"go into phone-preferences-voice control and tick voice dialing and as long as you have added voice tags to your contacts (in the edit function) this will work.

set mine up and it works perfectly both as a handset and in the car with the HCB 30"
- stolen from jiffer, please don't sue me jiffer.

If you hold it down it won't work. To test if it works make sure you got the BT sign on the display of the p900. Tap the headset, you will see the bt sign change to show a connection happening, then on the display it will say transferring sound to headset, a "burgh" sound and at that point say your name, if ok it will read back to you, (if you selected the option to do this).

The headset is designed perfectly fine. Almost everytime I voice dial it works, I wear mine normally. The only time is if I'm doing over 50mph because of the engine noise. I have to slow down to 45mph to be able to voice dial. Apart from that its perfectly fine.

The HBH-60 which worked reasonably with my T68 doesn't do so with my P900. Using the latest firmware from SE, but still problematic. Recording voice tags for contacts with the headset is not possible even though this is the most accurate method to use if using the voice dialing from a headset. This worked well with my T68. Also having to pair the headset each time I use it as turning bluetooth off saves batteries when not in use. However I find if you click on allow the headset to connect without confirmation during the pairing process then I have to do this left often. And yes also doesn't transfer calls to the headset that often too. Incidentally those of you looking for a Moto headset, look at www.smalltalk.co.uk who are giving away a free headset with the Motorola V600. You would have thought SE with all their experience would have got it sorted out in their latest flag ship model.

I'm still using my HBH-10 and after years of reliable service, this continues with my P900

Re: the earlier comments on the Motorola HS810...

General school of thought amongst salesmen at the retailer for which I work seems to be that it's an excellent headset but doesn't work so well if you have a "chubby" face, as the boom will rest on your cheek. Sounds stupid, I know, but makes sense if you think about it.

BTW I don't mean to offend anyone who's having problems with it - I'm no featherweight myself!

Motorola HS810

Just received my one in the post today - but its a dud! It doesn't work (yes charged it etc). I also had a faulty HBH-65. Looks like I'll have to keep using the old faithful HBH-20 for a few more days.
