I have updated my 2003/1 P900 and now bluetooth seems to work much better and I actually feel the sound quality in my HBH-200 to be much better (superior to using the handset). Almost Hi-Fi!

Hi
I have CDA162004/10 R2A01 and according to the SE website there is an upgrade to the organiser version to R2B02 (current is R1B01). However, when I try to update I get an error message "Error communicating with server". SE say I have to take the phone to a service center. No Idea where my local one is (Munich Germany) but in any case Im not happy with this as the phone is only a week old.
I have used the updater once without problems and I have tried installing the pc suite and updater SES on another system with the same results.
Any suggestions?

Why would source be unknown? I have not unbranded the phone. An update is available. Any way of download ing the update and placing it on my local disk to update from?
I dont want to send it to a SE center after only having the thing for a week!

Did this update last night and when restored had lost all of my calendar entries. Tried 3 or 4 times but to no avail. However I noticed that someone else had a similar problem due to the demo app being restored so I have removed this and two princes.mp3 (which came back) and will try again tonight and see if they magically come back...will backing up again (as I have since readded appts.) affect a previous backup if it has not been deleted?
Can't see why SE feel the need to reinstall the demo app and the old mp3...meant there wasn't even enough space to restore my old mp3 ringtones...

Upgraded my P900 (CDA 162003/2) to the R4A06 firmware. Everything went smoothly. Restored completely after the upgrade using the SE Backup and Restore application V1.12.1.1 which is part of PC Suite V2.3.1
Only things that did not get restored were all my Voice commands.
Did this happen to others too?

have had r3c006 on my p900 since i was upgraded by orange and have had no problems at all, is it really worth me updating it or shall i leave as "if it aint broke dont fix it". can anyone advise me on this???
