at the moment Z500 is reported to launch in US since it is GSM850/1800/1900. I wonder when we can see one with GSM900/1800/1900 then it will be interesting.
This is possible since T226 became T230 then T237.

The Z500a (America??), as put in the SE website, is a more upgraded phone. Probably this phone would be put out first globally prior to the Z1010. I believe SE created this phone to compete with Nokia's first clamshell phone which is scheduled for release in the 3rd quarter of the year. Both phones almost have the same specs when compared.
Its gonna be a tight race for these two phones.

look carefully on the spec SE put in. Z500 didn't support the GSM900 network which make it hard to be launched in Asia and Europe as there's many operator that uses GSM900 and GSM1800 network.
As for example the country I stay, the top two mobile operator is using both GSM900/1800 network, if I have to use Z500 in their network.....I will be having poor reception in certain area as the phone cannot uses the GSM900 network.
correct me if i am wrong but this should be the problem if I have to use this phone in my operator

Am I the only one that thinks it looks like a combination of the Z200 & Z600? Well, probably more good looking than any of the above, with a smaller flip, but unfortunately also a small(ish) looking screen.
Nevertheless, happy to finally see a true VGA cam on a T/Z SE phone. Just hoping for an upgraded i(?) version with BT & 900MHz to be sold in Europe in a couple of months.
/F.

I would have thought that there will be a z510 (or what ever) with the things that appeal to the american market removed (push to talk/edge) and eropean features added (900mz /bluetooth) added as it would be pointless trying to sell a phone with out 900mz and edge in europe as these technologys will proberly never be supported in europe.

One thing i like about this phone compared to the S700 and the K700 is that it makes use of the colors with the menu. The S700 and K700 menu looks dull. This looks colorful.

I just found this in a mobile phone shop brochure here.
It says "network freq - 900/1800/1900"
It's probably a shop's mistake, but could it be that there will be an international version?
