I got my Z1010 yesterday here in sweden, and I can say that I AM excited now! I absolutely love the phone! The only thing to accept that the phone is that it is quite thick and does not slip into the pocket quite so unnoticed!
The MIDP2.0 java implementation with includes socket support works like a charm. I tested the ICQ client Jimm(http://jimm.sourceforge.net/) , and it works flawlessly!! I could also log on to my computer using a telnet client. The only problem I have had so far is with the PC software that didn't want to sync with my phone....

hoximagic what do you think of the media player?
Has it played all your mp3's alright so far?
Problem with the Nec 616 is that it has problems playing certain mp3s so it skips to the next track, the same mp3s play perfect in winamp!
whats the sound quality like?

I haven't had time to play so much with it yet. The three mp3's that I transferred worked without problem (128kbps and 160kbps). Soundquality was very good! Much better than the old "ericsson MP3 accessory" I used before. The only problem I had was that transfeering the files using the included USB cable was quite slow. But I suspect it is some configuration problem that I havn't sorted out yet.
I also tried the included movie clips(.mp4 I think they were) and they played very smooth.

@oreangeman:
I will experiment more with the bluetooth tonight, but as far as I can tell it works like the T610 I had before. I haven't experimented to see if the coverage is better(I guess it should be around 20m instead of 10m with T610?). Unfortinately I have a quite old bluetooth adapter on my computer so will be hard to say if the phone or the adapter is the weak link.
I will let you know...

I was messing around on the Danish 3 site and did a search for Z1010 and it returned the following page
http://www.hi3gdenmark.dk/tem[....]?id=203&quicksearchquery=z1010
Click the link and it shows that there is a new link for the Z1010 dated 21 April 2004. Click on that and there is a framework of a phone page, so I reckon we are close in Denmark....come on SE UK release it.
Tried to search for others like LG and Samsung, but no results. I don't speak Danish, so if someone does, please let me know what "Senaste ändring" means....thanks

Here are a few highlights in my experience so far(haven't seen this in any review, but I might have missed it):
- The WAP browser is A LOT faster and more responsive than the T610/Z600/T630 version. Also better standards support and more functions (example; history list of last visited pages) . Finally it is a joy to surf over 3G networks, even if it is only WAP2.0 pages.
- The phone book as alot more entries in it, you can add address fields and "additional info" fields. No need for an extra address book!
- Java is so much better on this phone! Haven't tried so many programs yet, but no program that I have tried have failed to run.
- No phone crash yet after 1 1/2 day of usage

This I see as a feature, since I surely expect som initial FW problems.
