Dan, you tried it already? I think it's because we're coming from the P-series, that's why we notice the lag.
I've lost my 'thumb skills' already since I'm used to the P800 already, so the K700 demo was only a couple of letter behind me on either T9 or multitap. You'd still have to remember what you're typing though since the phone doesn't respond fast enough.
I do agree that the liquid black T630 looks better.
Dan... do you think the T610/630 over-all response time is faster than the current K700 demo?

Spawn, the great Ericsson/SE lag has been there since 1999 with the T28s!!!! It's present in ALL Ericsson/SE phones since then except for the PDA family members... R380, P800/900
The T39 and R520 ALMOST got rid of it... and the T68i hid it pretty well... but it seems to be coming back. :s
Yes, I agree that the lag isn't really in issue with most people. It just annoys me that they haven't even tried to get rid of it since 1999.
I'll probably never go back to a traditional smartphone anymore, I've found happiness in their hybrids. Hehehehe... but that's just me... and even with the P-series, there's ALWAYS room for improvement!
don't forget the T66/T600. that's one SE phone w/c hardly lagged.

Keyword being hardly. But yes, I agree that the T66/600 was pretty good. But it was B&W.... this is how the T28 should've performed.
If SE could've crammed the T68i into the T600, that would've made a killer phone last year.

vga... 640x480. video up to 192x144 I think. But the phone has a built in camera light (it's not a flash since you can leave it on to use with video as well)

I've been waiting for this phone since April. Been wanting to find a replacement to my N6600- which was a total nightmare (not the phone really, i bought it at E-PHONE, CYBERZONE, SM CITY). Bygones be bygones, I'm shifting to Sony Ericsson! As you can see, I'm an SE convert, although I'm really anxious about what you guys are saying about the phone's negativities...I believe it's still worth the try, right SE users?
off topic: ei triggerbokie...looks like we came from the same school..

alternateve... of course it's worth a try. When SE users like me complain about certain things, it's really just nit-picking already.
my complaints are coming from the P-series Communicator line of SE which has a lot more functionality and power compared to SE's 'phones'.
the K700 has all the functionality of the N6600 (sans the memory expansion slot) ... without the bulk of the phone.
not to mention that the K700 looks much better, as both a phone, and a camera.
you have to understand that SE users are a lot more demanding than most people. we don't want something that's just a little bit better than the rest... we want something James Bond would use... oh wait... he does use Ericsson/SE!
