it baffles me why memorystick isnt standard on all sony phones.

Hey guys, I think I found the rival for the K700. The new Moto E-398.
It has 65k screen, VGa camera, appearance alike, handsfree speaker integrated, mp3's, "flash" or LED with a light in dark situations, etc.
Just the advantage of the E-398 over the K700, is that it has external memory card support and 3D sound, mmm.....sounds very good.

I dont think u should say K700 has mp3, it has mp3-ringtones!
I mean whitout memorycard u cant have many mp3´s on it.

E-398 doesnt have S//E menu, it doesnt have theming, it doesnt have radio, it doesnt have IR, and only 24 voices poly. It also only has 5mb internal memory and I dont care for the extra cost of having to buy a new type of costly memorycard as the transflash cards used in E-398. Design also looks better on K700.

Not a real competitor in my mind

The Moto E398 has skins not themes, which means u can not only change the colour and background picture but the font and design of the UI. From mobile-review:

"The possibilities of Skins have been expanded as well. From now on when you are changing skins, you are free to change almost all including the icons appearance, view of analogue and digital clock. The phone’s outlook becomes easily customized, the company’s web-site promises to release new themes which can be downloaded into your phone."

It has Skins, maybe not IR, but not sooo useful, with memory cards moto wins K700...in the aspects K has that E doesnt, which are few.

Since it does not offer any skineditor for the user which is free to use - but only a "promise" from moto that they will make some skins that I can buy and download I would still say it does not support theming from my point of view. I dont care for designs that moto thinks are good - I want to make my own designs - and I definately do not want to pay moto for them. I am spoiled from the freedom S//E offers.

If Moto were to offer a skineditor like S//E so that I could make my own skins for free - then I would accept it.

Isn't there a skin editor, just like theme editor; so you can just make or edit skins and dl to your moto by BT or IR?
