this is of course rediculous as anyone knows that your ISP can look at all the activity sent over your connection AT ANY TIME, and that ANY WEB BASED EMAIL SERVICE is just the same as any other when it comes to HOW the information is sent from your computer to the server, TEXT.......
its just like having a private FTP server, the filename requests and other commands are CLEARLY visable going over the line, yeah your personal info may be encrypted (username and password) but your ISP can look into your activity and see the files you have downloaded or are allowing people to download..
the simple fact is - Unless you host your own email, SOMEONE ELSE CAN (and probably WILL) read your email.
so just don't use your email to send sensitive information, and if you do, learn how to use d1s2c3r4e5t6i7o8n. it is not that hard to disguise keywords since we know that is how information is extracted and gathered from emails, SMS, phone conversations.. key words.. just put numbers or other characters in them (even spaces will work, s p e l l things like that, no words, just letters...
or write it all backwards if you are that concerned..
or learn a secret code..
or just dont be stupid. keep private things UNRECORDED!! if you do not want people to read something (ALL PEOPLE) just dont write it... its just that easy...
dave
edit - adding a final thought, if you are concerned with people reading your emails that say something like "i am going on a flight tomorrow......, yeah i used my new boxcutter to open the package you sent me" and you are afraid they will think you are a terrorist, remember, if they read what you actually wrote, you are off the hook.. as long as you didn't write 'i am bringing my box cutter on the flight to come see you" why worry????
if you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about.. if you have, DONT TELL PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

No doubt fatreg.co.uk, like mixin2.com email systems, do not have stupid minimum 6 character usernames
