I agree that the only way to protest is just don't buy.
our only matter now should be now if there are any ways for those that bought from voda how to get rid from voda live! menu.
I am going also to buy from voda as i have 350euros subsidy from them, and I am obligated to buy from a voda store.
Any solutions someone?

hey. does only vodaphone mess with the phone? or does O2 too? and other providers? I'm getting a k700, I'm trying to avoid this. Thanks
All operators change parts of the phones firmware to suit their needs, however some like Vodaphone do it the extreme. O2 and Orange add their own items that cannot be deleted, change the SE icons and add start up screens but they dont interfere as much with the actual phone. O2 are usually the best. Normally they only add a startup screen, a screensaver and an O2 icon. They also leave the phone unlocked so you can use it on any network.
Orange arent as bad as Vodaphone, but they tend to add more items than O2, lock the phone to their network and prevent you from updating the firmware.
If i were your postion people, id use some clause in the Vodaphone contract to 'get out' and cancel the 12 month agreement. If you're still within your 14 days cool off period, id use it immediately.

ive had problems with voda b4. all my o2 phones are not network branded. depends what store you go to.
o2 shop=possibl branded
voda shop=definatly branded
independant/cpw/p4u = unbranded, not network locked, offered with any network sim card

I got my K700 direct from SE. It might have cost me a little more than a branded phone, but IMO its certainly worth every penny. In future, i think i'll buy all my SE phones sim free from the eShop. I recommend everyone else to do the same.
The phone belongs to me, not Vodaphone, O2, T-Mobile or Orange.
Its mine !

Hey Guys.
Got my K700 last weekend and was seriously peed off with the blue/red icons and lack of MP3 support.
Phoned SE and VF and both were next to useless, although admittedly SE's hands are tied and VF Cust Services kept making jokes about the marketting bods at their big desks making decisions....HA HA oh how I laughed.
However, I contacted Phones4U where I got the phone and they are gonna do a straight swap for a GSM phone to prevent me exercising my 14 day cancellation rights!!!
woo hoo at last a company with decent customer services.
Now I'm looking forward to those BEEEE-A-UUUU-IFUL icons !!!

Yes, go to the support tab for each phone, and select the configurators.
OR buy an O2 PAYG sim.

Yep, I also intend to have a rant at the VF shop tomorrow and use my 14day cooling off period.
Just need to find where I can get a similar deal with the same phone
I payed £30 for the phone, on a £22 a month VF Contract.
