p900 Lover: I used this site to unlock my Nokia 7600, and it works fine on all gsm networks. No problems at all. Using it on o2 at the mo.

at P900 lover,

i unlocked mine there and it still looks for a £g signal, if you bought your 7600 on 3pay, you will always have this problem unless your network turns off their 3g signal! or you have your 7600 flashed with euro software,

best bet is take it to your local CPW and tell them that because you have poor 3 signal at home, they have told you that you can flash it with euro software so it will only work on O2, then unlock it again and hey presto!

I see there are a lot of questions about NEC e616v, e616. Just to clear everything. The old NEC "trix" that already have been explained in this thread works on old software versions. It will NOT work on newer versions.

Then there is a different between the old instructions for e616 (depending on software version. Many e616 are having the same software as the e616v model) and e616v. So check your version in your phone.

How to check version
*#2820# check version

If you are having the version acpu:125.56.07 ccpu:c623.r0v. Then it´s the e616v instruction you should use. If you are having ACPU:A025.63.11 CCPU:C623.R1Y.Q or ACPU:A126 00.02 CCPU: C623R2A and above (what I know) then none of the instructions will work.

To find out which boxserial to use press *#0000# then you will get a software version and a date.

This is not an "black and white" thing.

Depending on the version and the date you can choose a boxserial that hopefully will work.

If your phone are between 2003-01-12 -> 2004-01-01 then the moste common 33820 (also called v2) will work in moste cases.

NEC 313 unlock is long winded.

Easy way if I remember is to put 2g sim in, diall 112 (emergency call) phone will say cannot make call in 3g mode, switch to 2g? (or similiar) then quickly hang up!

Then you can make voice calls only, not text or use wap as settings o handset are 'software locked'
