@jojo
I don't know where to begin ... I would very much doubt that you will get an apology or that there will be any form of rebuttal, the latter due to the fact that tranquil intervened at the time and I am assuming that the matter is probably closed as far as the moderators are concerned.

@scotsboyuk - And we will just let the sh*t off the hook with the stunt he made

! Looks like it will just be unfair on my part, with it I guess, I will have the freedom as well of cursing every individual here whom I dislike is/her post then

The bad thing with that incident @scotsboyuk is that I am not the only one who is using the '@' thing before the username 'most' of the time, if so, I might just take the blame

I can just see some of your posts with having the '@' thing as well !
So, do you think that this will be just an exercise in futility

Must I apply the ever famous saying of - 'charge it to experience' my friend
Case still open . . .

@jojo
Before responding to the issue at hand I would like to clear soemthing up; I do not use the '@' symbol in the same manner you do. I use the '@' symbol at the beginning of a post to denote which member(s) (if any) I am directing my post at. I also use the '@' symbol when typing e-mail address or words, which include the @'@ symbol.
I don't think that there is any need for further swearing or name calling, let us try and be mature about this. As for putting this issue down to experience I can only say that, since the moderators have not taken further action, this would probably be a good course to follow.

@scotsboyuk - Not my cup of tea my friend . . . the saying let bygones be bygones to me only applies to some certain extent, and definitely not this one

As my parents don't say the - 'd*mn you' words in my face, and why am I just let some kind of moron say it to me then huh . . . what if you're the one placed in my shoe
I remain !
Again, I am not the only one posting the '@' thing

here at esato !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@jojo
You can make as big or as little a fuss over this as you want and, at the end of the day, it is your decision how you proceed with this matter, but what do you hope to achieve? If you want an apology then this isn't really the best place to be posting about it, far better to mesage the member in question and discuss it with them. I have given you my advice, it is up to you how you choose to take it.

re the practice of addressing posts to esato users (ie @<username>)
the usual way of using this is to address a particular part of a post to the specified users.
they come in the following forms
@<username>
<message for that user>
@*
<message for everyone/no one in particular>
@<username1>[[,]<username2>]
<message for specified users in the address line>
there are variations to this, and there are no hard and fast rules. it's something unique to the ESATO board.
@JN
as for that tiff you had with another member, can you direct me to that thread?
and i don't think it would be appreciated by anyone being addressed as "sh*t"

@ JN, I personally have not a clue who and what you are on about. However, I do have an opinion on bringing out in public for discussion any beef you individually may have with other members individually. And taht opinion is: I am not happy about it.
I you have issues with somebody, I would think the proper course of action would be to
privately approach the member involved. If that don't sort things out, you could proceed to
privately ask a mod to intervene.
Now we have a discussion started, where half of the people may know who and what's involved, while others (myself included) do not... yet may voice opinions on a matter they don't know any backgrounds of.
I don't know why the new trend appears to be to discuss any disagreements in public, but I find it distasteful. It is the one thing on esato that makes me feel less at ease every singel day.
Before you know it YOU might be the target of public outrage, because somebody didn't have the decency or balls (whichever) to talk to you personally and directly.

General Discussion/Esato Forum/Most Famous Members/Page 3-middle part
Vlammetje - It's your Mickey

that I am talking about you here ! He's really got an attitude

! I don't think that it will just be proper for me to send him a pm, 'cause it's him who's at fault in this incident !
