one of the possibility.
Even if a country have 50% subcriber BUT if SE only have one or two percent of market share.....do you think they can get a strong foot hold there? How much money do they need to spend to make them reach maybe 5% or more?
Remember that SE is not making profit 15months ago....and their parent company have their own problem which announced not to provide any more fund after the last 100million (Is it euro or USD???)
T610 to them is do or die product.
Another issue I notice here is everyone thought making profit meaning they can start throwing out phone like Nokia. I don't believe in that strategy since it is not focus on marketing their key product. Again like I mentioned in my old post...it is like sending a troop to battle ground full of mine field....the general (Nokia marketing) will ask them to cross the mine field...whoever is bad in skill or stamina will fail during the journey....you can see some nokia phone failed to reach mass market last yr (Remember their first 3G phone, also second one 7600...Ngage...3200......5100)...one of them can't even get launched ( odd shape 7700...so called WAN device)
Back to SE.
SE still need to have stronger position in their financial status before they can start dumping phone with better quality and features. I do agress some of their recent phone just lack the quality of the good old Ericsson days....but this days.....most ppl will go for $$$ and look. Only we who login to Esato will look for FEATURES.

Wise words. Even to make money they have to sell fones, that mean new markets all around the world and avoid delay launch of fones.

just hope next year onwards...they can have a big supply chain tht manage to supply phone world wide.
As I know their supplier base is now rather small after all the trouble happened 3yrs back.

Apparently the firmware for the K700i is now available - it's mean't to improve the battery life and other bits. SE customer service will tell you of a SE service centre near you. Not sure if I want anyone tampering with my phone. Has anyone had the fw upgrade? if so does it work and is it worth doing?

But IMO SE is loosing terrain with competition, simply because they're not paying much attention to developing markets and simply are wasting founds in already developed ones. SE is holding what it already got instead of looking new horizons for their products.

I know latin and south america is having CDMA too....you might see less SE there since CDMA is not in SE product portfolio.
Then you see even less SE

-1- The phones follow each other too fast. Also the release is anticipated way too long. A phone is new only during a few months and then there is already another one coming with a different styling and feature set. You always make a bad choice and your phone is outdated a few months after buying.
-2- What SE has too make sure is to maintain a clear SE-face, meaning that any SE phone can be recognised as such from a distance. The ne wlogo was good in that, but it is hard to keep up with all these new models. The t68-t200 series were ok in that because of the pearl-finish of body. Then they did a nice job with the metallic keys and the placing of the joystick. Now there's the transparent keys. I'm just picking a few elements.
Audi should be their example: a lot of new models, but because of the consistency, someone with a model of the previous generation does not feel let down
-3- they should never have let the blinkin' led out!! Such a reassuring light (that soothing blink saying: "it is all right, I listen to the airwaves").
-4- they should never, ever do changeable covers (again) BUT they should provide with replacement covers in some way
