Hey all! I thought the S700i had a memory stick duo that could support upto 1gb??? Can anyone clarify this coz the review says it only supports up till 128mb?? Also, can anyone please clarify whether the s700 i has EDGE support??? I have read some places that it does and some places that it does not?? clarification will be greately appreciated!! Thanks a lot!

The s700 will not support MemoryStick Pro Duo's and so will not be able to use anything above 128MB. The latest white paper states this and it is only a month or so old. And NO the S700 will not have edge support, thats the job of the S710!

I'm depressed now about the S700, Why did SE choose not to follow the logical step and include full screen playback. I finally got over the fact that it only supports 128mb's. Someone at SE please listen to the voice of the people and resolve these issues as well as the speaker phone bs where it takes 4 clicks to put someone on speaker.

Quick poll... Razr or S700?

Neither.

P1000 around May next year is the one im waiting for. The Razer, whilst all lovely is rather outdated by the S700.

But the S700 to me is only a tiny tiny tiny upgrade over a K700i. Its just not worth it to me. When i buy my next SE phone, it'll be either be a 1mp P series (P1000) or the successor to the S700.

S800 anyone ?

Well, Razr is a damn sexy little phone. But with a price tag around 340 USD higher than S700 and with less features (almost as V600 with some minor exceptions) I'll vote for S700 (= more value for the money).

Remember guys Bengal has a prototype S700, he may not have the latest firmware which could explain why he cant get fullscreen videos.

Think about it, i doubt SE would be stupid enough to put in a screen like that then not allow fullscreen viewing.

I'm thinking that the production ones will play in fullscreen. Remember when he reviewed the K700 and everyone was complaining about the photo quality then when the production versions arrived they were so much better. I think this will be the same thing.

Dont stress untill the production versions arrived. You may be pleasantly surprised

and 3rd'ly can you swith off the shutter sound? please say you can lol, because you may want to take picture of someone and they might find out if the shutter sound goes off . thanks

No silent on the shutter....just 3 different shutter sounds..

As for new, not released video, Mp3 playing machine..the Motorola e680 is very nice.....just started playing with it since finishing the S700i review... Linux OS, 1GB SD storage, stereo speakers (very loud) make for a very nice MultiMedia phone.
