I have similar suggestions to "fix" the T68 series:
1. LEDs-yes option to shut off would be nice
2. Clock-Analog option would be nice w/ date and message received icon
3. Better OS-Why not Symbian?? T9 response is just too slow, aside from slow menu response times
4. Better browser-HTML/iMode browser would be cool too...w/ option to disable images
5. Better games-remove 3 solitaire games, return Tetris, add Chess (Bluetooth, IR or SMS), Pacman would be great too!!! hehehehe
6. Option to upgrade screen to 12 or 16-bit!!! This is just a fantasy!... although maybe a future model could be all this, while keeping or even reducing the thickness of the T68...

Yes the blinking LED's are very annoying.
Remove them or make an option to turn them of.
I don't want my phone to look like a x-mas tree.

I know some people are annoyed because the clock pops up..
But. First of all. It saves battery. Second. It is white on black so that you are able to see it in anything but direct sunlight when the backlighting is off. there would be no point in having a screensaver going there as you'd need light amplification goggles to see it.
Hell even the clock can be hard to see unless you angle phone correctly when not in broad daylight..
