Saying that SE losing places in the Salescharts because they are lacking user customisation and certain small features are rather stupid! The two companys who has climbed most in the charts (LG and Samsung) isn't really known for those issues, that SE isn't gaining marketshare that fast is really a matter of lacking a big number of lowend and midend modells...

and also ericsson doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. it may not have the upper hand in mobile telecommunications, but each and every product they release, is respected by the press and consumers even if they don't buy it. they don't need to release a s**tload of similar models just to be the firm that sells the most. quality over quantity. and if you don't like that, go buy a nokia or a motorolla or anything else that suits you (if you find one)

I just got the s700i and don't have a good or bad opinion of it yet, nevertheless I prefer some info to be displayed in standby mode.
Even if I ignore the much-talked-about clock that I personally prefer, I find it extremely annoying looking at a phone that plays dead.
Out of curiosity, how do you know your phone is still working or has enough juice in it? Don't you find it a hassle to keep pressing buttons?
Doesn't button-pressing expend the battery much faster than normal?
At least that was my experience with the Nokia 6610. I could talk for a long time but the battery would go fast down when I'd type a SMS.
