@jonnysax

please dont be sexist against women, where would we be without them

and dont diss other countries by saying the uk is the best, because for some aspects it may be (in ones opinion) but for others it may not be ! i.e. govigov!

dont you have a pc??

You are an xenophobic, sexist idiot, unless you are deliberately making inflammatory statements, in which case you are just stupid. To answer your question, yes I do have a PC. Are you aware that your PC needs to be infra-red or bluetooth enabled, or you need to buy a compatible adaptor, as the D500 not only does not come with a data cable, but Samsung also do not manufacture one for it. No? Didn't think so. And my opinion is based on personal experience and the fact that, given that mobile phones are the industry I work in, I have the benefit of a fair amount of info on the subject at my disposal.

Get your facts straight and post something vaguely worthwhile...

i think the real spawn had a good point on the first page of this thread. the d500 seems more of a k700 competitor than s700.a better comparision would be between the k700 and d500. the s700 for me is a bridge between the mid ranged k700 and high range p910.
for people who want a phone that can do a bit more than the k700 and doesnt have the obvious multimedia problem of no expandable memory but isnt as feature packaged as the pseries as they have no need for third party apps, the only obvious problem of the s700 as a serious media device is the limit of full screen vid playback which is such a shame, hopefuly se will sort this out

@realspawn - wow only $300 for the s700, thats cheap ! its unbranded ? and unlocked ?

i believe d500 is one of samsung's better phones in design and functionality but it still doesnt beat the s700

I live in Denmark too. The $300 deal for S700 on friday is with Telia contract (dont think Telia is branding them though, but im not entirely sure) - it is however sim locked, but thats just $5-10 bucks to get rid of that. Normal price for S700 without contract and no branding is currently $600-650. Still pricey though, but I got mine at $600 and I love it

S700i - best phone I ever had!

the BT is at least somewhat crippled, in that it does not support the BIP (Bluetooth Imaging Profile), and will therefore not allow printing of stored images to a BT printer.

True but the Ir works when transfering pictures to an Ir enabled printer. I've used it at work.

Theres a data cable that Samsung made for the E700 and E800 to transfer pics etc. It also works with the D500.
