you all speak so highly of this that I have just downloaded it and I am installing it right now

Had a bit of a play, here are my first impressions.
Things I like:
-Looks great.
-Uses your current theme colours background etc.
-The shortcut desktop, finally 3 icons per row as the AppLauncher desperately needs.
-Nice app icons.
-Can shortcut to contacts, web links etc.
-Can assign pics to shortcuts.
-Displays the time!!!!
Finally!
-Box showing messages, appointments, tasks & missed calls.
-New message icon (also new appointment & task icons).
Things I don't like:
-It's own icon (the blue 'diamond' in the top left). Surely they could have come up with a better one than that!
-Only 9 shortcuts possible
Things I'd like to see added:
-New icon!
-Ability to add more pages of shortcuts
-Ability to display full message in the preview box
They are my initial thoughts & all in all I REALLY like this app

in all fairness the icon is a throwback to the icon
used for the desktop on phones like the T610 and others in that range. I sorta like that it is the same icon for the desktop application that my old phone had, afterall, they are calling it a desktop program.

It's nothing like the other phones Desktop icon.
As I look now at a K700 it has three white squares and one raised blue square at the top right.
This app has the shaded blue diamond which is meant to look lit from the top left. I think this is a standard icon for apps that don't have their own as I've seen it appear for several Java apps

oh, mine definitely has the icon with three squares and one blue. I don't know how we got different icons for the same program, but mine for sure isn't a blue diamond.

I'm still on the fence on this one.. Kinda like the Outlook 2K3 skin that I grabbed for Tracker. I'm not sure why there's no ability to custom configure the hard buttons on the sides to point to an application of choice. Hmm...
