I'd love to be able to watch movies in 30fps.. just wondered if anyone has or could try it..

Apart from the great results a 2GB Pro duo will bring, just think of the amount of storage, you would have, giving you endless fun!

Sony released this BlueTooth Media Player in mind for playing back videos, on your normal TV (Using the scart)- By using BlueTooth, So if you had a 2GB Pro Duo - and the average file size of a Full lenght movie was around 125MB That's around 16 Films, nearly more than most small backstreet video shop!

You will always have your favorite films to hand!-

Gave up with movies & games on my P800/P900/P910i as it just doesn't cut it really.
Now use a Sony PSP for movies & games & use my P910i as phone/pda/ogg music player.

By the way, the PSP plays awesome movies off my 1GB DUO PRO encoded at 1500kbps & 128kbps sound at 320x240 which plays full screen at 30fps. UMD movies will be even better but you will have to buy them!

16 films will be nice on a 2gb duo, but on a large tv screen wouldn't the resolution from a 125mb film be horribly blocky??

yes they would come out blocky. But i dont think that media player thing does video playback on your TV. its just for images and MP3s..

Oh well, i shan't bother if it's just going to be pants quality.

Looks like we're going to have to wait for the next generation of PDA/Smartphones, incorporating nVidia Mobile graphic chips, taking the load off the CPU and thus enabling 30fps movie playback at really high quality..

Not only that, but 3D visualisations to music would be totally cool. What about a phone which is completely 3D instead of 2D? This is a bit far fetched but would be damn cool!

The biggest memory card i have is 128MB for my P900/910. I don't believe these memory sticks are going to be around for too long, as in Asia they have already produced miniature hard disk drives, about 1inch long, and a couple of millimetres thick, meaning we would have (1/2/4?)GB already built in to PDA's.

I don't really see the need for memory sticks, and in my opinion their life is going to be a short one.

Imagine your Pxxxx had a little HDD light on it.. now that would be cool

On top of that, HDD MP3 players these days have a battery life of around 16 hours none stop, imagine how long a tiny little HDD could last for?

Only forseeable problems are physical disk errors if you happened to drop the phone.. hmm!

Anyway, they're my thoughts.
