I have been using VeriChat for a while. I am very tempted to purchase it. I have purchased IM+, JMSN, and I have to say that I have received the most favorable results with VeriChat. Support from IM+ is close to non-existent. I'm surprised that I'm able to get MSN to work with VeriChat, but it isn't connecting on IM+. My trial is due to expire in 3 days. The upgrades have been great, but I too wish there was an extended trial period being that the software has gone through several revision changes. One feature that I was looking for in particular was a "switch to" option with the jog dial. For example, the ability to toggle back to the main window without having to use the touchscreen/stylus to click to the "goto" link. How about setting a jog dial short cut ('jog dial down') kinda like what "Tracker" does? So far I have been only using the keyboard with the exception of the nuisance of having to grab my stylus each time I want to exit out of a chat session to go back to the client list. So I would greatly appreciate an extention as well and hopefully see the feature that I suggested considered. That was the intended beauty of the multi-directional jog dial.

Doesn't the jog dial back take you back to the buddy list view where you can swap between sessions?

The jog dial down does that on IM+ I believe. However, when I do it when running VeriChat it toggles back to my Tracker window. So I'm guessing ShapeServices must overide the Tracker command somehow.

But if you were asking if that is the feature I am requesting then the asnwer is "yes".

Actually, on the P910, when I press the jog dial back, I am taken back to the previous view which is the buddy list view.

On the P800 the default behaviour takes me to the "application screen".

What device do you have?

We will put in an easier tracker swap session soon. maybe rocker enter (if your send text is empty) brings up a small window which shows you your active sessions and you can select one.

I'm using a P910i. One thing that I notice about the flip closed option is that my buddy view is different from flip open. In "flip open" I configure the software to only show "online" buddies. However, once I close the flip it shows "all" my buddies (online & offline). It's kinda anoying having to scroll through all my buddies that are offline in the flip closed menu. Apparently the option to open with online buddies only view is disabled once the flip is closed. Any way to fix that?

another small difference between the modes is their support for buddy groups. I like that the FC mode supports buddy groups, but FO doesn't seem to. They are just listed in alphabetical order while the flip is open. I would like both modes to support buddy groups

also, I agree with the previous poster. There should be a way to remove offline buddies from the FC view.

EDIT: I know it is possible to use buddy groups with the flip open, but like the flip closed view, it mixes the offline buddies in. This is somewhat annoying.

Currently, Flip Open (FO) mode has 2 buddy view options -
1) Online/Offline (with option to hide any one)
2) Group View

Flip Closed (FC) mode has only one view -
Group View

So, as I understand, the feedback is to
1) have an option to hide offline contacts in Group View in both FO and FC mode.
2) In FC mode, have a list without groups showing online/offline buddies. Since it is hard to show 2 lists, we can do it with online sorted on top and offline sorted on bottom.

Another thing that is coming soon is an ability to quick find in FC mode. This is how it will work -
While on buddy list, start pressing the first few characters of the person you want to talk to and VeriChat automatically finds him for you on your buddy list.

BTW, if you have noticed, FC mode still doesn't have menu options to do a lot of things that are supported in FO mode (e.g. add/remove buddy etc.). These options will gradually be ported over to FC mode. I was just a bit impatient and didn't want to wait for everything before I showed you guys the FC mode.

As VeriChat on other platforms, we will make this the BEST IM software for UIQ phones (if it isn't already). User feedback is very important and we appreciate it.
