When you format the phone, make sure that the battery is fully charged.
Enter in safe mode:
while booting (when you switch the phone on) keep pressed the 'ABC' (pen) button. This will prevent 3rd-party apps to start (eg: viruses, etc).
Send midis from phone:
You cannot send MIDI (from a S60) over infrared/bluetooth without a file manager.
You can get FExplorer, it's free and small. And has also screenshot option.
Download it from
http://gosymbian.com/
PS: some S60 phones may have midi copy-protection, so you have to rename the file extension from "mid" to "_mid" for example, now you'll be able to send.. also use the same method for sis files.
Notice: all tips are for Symbian S60 phones

It doesn't work if the file really has DRM (OMA DRM) in place. Well, you can send the file to another device, but it won't work, since it's encrypted to the device which originally received it.
If you have some sort of file manager which is able to send files over BT or irda, you can do it. There's no need to do any modifications to the file extension. File extension is not used to recognize the file type, but MIME-type is and you're not able to modify it with a file manager.
