@p900 lover Yeah its the UK online one, you better check how far you are from you exchange though...as I believe anythinng from 2Km starts dropping the speed...badly

Yeah it does . Im 6km from my exchange . But im getting an upgrade to 2mb soon, but until then, I'm still on the old 1mb line with 150Gb dl limit from Nildram.

Thank goodness I am just 1Km from my exchange so I expect to get between 7Mb and if all is well then 8Mb with a but of attenuation.

im only 500 meters away and they said i would be getting the full 8mb, its just the mater if contacting aol and and moving, altho im still waiting for my upgrade to 1mb from aol,

Forget AOL mate, UKOnline is the way to go and if you 500meters away then you sorted..it now boils down to how many people are on your line and hopefully you wont have any line hoggers...

On on different note, my bro just got Telewest package...and when they were testing the line he was kicking 12Mbps download speeds and then the techs capped. They did that by adding some little silver capped thing on the line as supposed to the gold that was on it when he got 12Mbps...anyone know anything about this?

i only got a measley 8Mb Down/Up leased line (all paid for by work) at home lovely contention rate of 1:1 and if something goes wrong all will fixed within 2hrs.... benefits of bein a home worker for a huge company!
