The Dial menu contains the following:

Contacts - You can use this option to pick the number
from your Contacts application to be used in
the DTMF dialer. However, do take note that
land lines do not accept the "+" prefix which
you must manually change by yourself.

Use Keypad - When checked, will produce the appropriate DTMF
tones when pressed on the virtual keypad. When
un-checked, you can pre-write the number on the
input area or copy and paste from somewhere
using the Edit menu. Then press the "Dial"
button on the right. When using it in this way,
SMan will ignore any characters which are not
dial numbers. This makes it handy to use. For
example, you can cut and paste an entire SMS
into the input area and just hit Dial without
worrying about SMan rejecting non digit
characters. Note also that the "#" and "*"
characters are accepted by SMan for producing
DTMF tones.



Edit: While I'm thinking about it two things. One, you don't have a hardware profile for anything except Motorola (not that I ever actually USED this of course )

if I remember the testing threads properly, didn't the hardware profiler only contain the moto's because of certain features some models supported and not others?

Where as this didn't need to be present for models.

SMan uses the built-in alarm server on the phone. It is possible to change the play intervals and delays in the alarm server. However, this is a global setting i.e. if you change it, it will affect ALL your alarms and, this change does not survive reboots (minor issue). I thought of this problem before but I wasn't sure whether to do this because it affects all your alarms (even non-SMan ones).

I haven't tried this but you can try it to see if it works: record a WAV / MP3 file that has the desired delays in it and let this play instead. I'm not sure how the alarm server reacts to a long sound file (more than 30 seconds). Does it forcefully stop it and repeat it at the 30 second mark? Or does it allow it to play for its full length?
