Hey all,
First post so be gentle

Me and another guy in our office got these phones last Thursday, phone and features are great. My mate set his alarm Thursday night and it had crashed by the morning and continued to crash through the day. He took the unit back on Saturday and they replaced it.
My phone was great no crashes at all until Sunday night when I set the alarm and it froze during the night. Now my phone freezes a lot! Orange are messing me about and wont take the handset back as removing the battery fixes the problem according to them! (it does fix the issue but it crashes every hour!)
I was wondering have the people without problems used their alarm yet? It could be a coincidence but I just spoke to my m8 with the new handset and his replacement was OK until last night when he set his alarm for work this morning!
Let me know what you think
Cheers

Some store in my country have bad experience about K750i, some have 100% return customer to complain about phone restarted
I think better to wait until new batch rolled out, anyway I wonder, can you mention which production week you got, some info like 05w20, can you all post yours, and give info which one suffered restart problem and which one good batch ?

A friend and I both got these phones on saturday - hers crashed a lot, but mine was fine until i put my old sim card in to copy contacts. Since then it has crashed 3 times (in about 6 hours use). Maybe it's a loose sim card issue? It looks like it hangs out a bit.
Also, the battery cover on mine is very stiff, so I'm probably going to take it back for that.
Is there any indication if this is a firmware bug or not?

Josh - I have the same firmware as you and I have issues, have you used the alarm on your phone yet? Has your friend?
juming - I will check my IMEI number for the batch code tonight and let you know.

BigTony - I haven't used the alarm yet - and i usually turn my phone off at night. I usually check it every few hours for messages, too.

My phone is crashing a lot, probably 5 times a day. I've been trying everything to fix it. The probably seems to widespread to be a hardware issue, I'm guessing it's software. The suggestion that it might be sim cards seems interesting, I've had mine for 2.5 years now. However that wouldn't explain people who get a new phone, use the same SIM card and have no problems.

I reckon it's got something to do with simcards ... I'm moving frmo voda to o2, i get maybe one crash per day with the o2 sim, maybe one every 4 hours or so with the old voda sim.
Turning stuff off (clock etc) didn't seem to do anything for me ... might take it back to o2 shop tomorrow and get a different one.
Oh ... and a master reset didn't do anything for me either, expect loose a few ringtones, themes, pics etc. Not too bothered, but can't find the dream ringtone on the Se website for download.
