nice comparison klorin i must say the more shots i see from the k750 the less impressed i become. its seems its fantastic at close up stuff but when you take pics from a slight distance the whole background seems to get far to blurry as in those shots.
mind you they aint bad for a phone at all just dont live up the hype that people have been claiming on here for a while.
no it doesnt, but keep in mind that the camera itself is not everything, the ability of the photographer is atleast as important sometimes even more. Good shots require a photographer with a sense of getting the right lightangle, choosing the right camerasettings, keeping the camera steady, focusing in the right spot, etc etc.
Most mobilecam photographers seems to be pretty poor photographers in general. This is one of the reason you see such diversity in quality from mobilecams.

@numb fair point ability of the photographer has to be taken into account, just the shots ive seen have disappointed me but its early day as more people get them we may see better shots.
ill still get one as the camera makes no odds to me ive had camera phones for 3 years and only taken 5 pics with all of them
?@etaab your pic was certainly better little blurry round the trees but no where near as much looks alot more realistic and more like a real camera

Heh, i put that down to the sky being so damn bright. I took that picture at about 7.30am on Sunday morning, and the morning sun was incredibly bright.
If i'd took that picture with a VGA camera, the sky would have been massively over-exposed and could have been completely white or with those black spots you'd get from bright light sources.
If it had been a duller day, the trees wouldnt have been blurred around the edges due to the sky being so high in contrast to the rest of the picture.

@Arne Anka Look who has done the review ! I have already emailed him with a few questions and I am still waiting for a reply :-( Just check the 'N90' pics with a hex editor ! Surprise , suprise ;-) and the video he only comments on 3gp (ment for mms) and not even a mention about the mpeg4 (ment for vhs recordings) anyway did't that same chap review (guite negatively biased) the 6630? And when the 6630 come out, had little reassemblance to his review.Buddy lets wait and see.I hope the final N90 won't be as buggy as the recently released K750i.Greetings from South Africa.Mario.

You really should take the time and read up a litle on video.
Learn the basics.
The 8fps mp4/aac video that the N90 records has nothing to do with VHS quality. First off it would need to record in atleast 25fps, not 8-9 fps as it does. Secondly it would have to record better audio. Thirdly for VHS quality recorded bitrate should be atleast 1100kbits
Try and take a closer look at the samplevideos supplied by nokia, these are recorded by Nokia and should represent best possible video, and its so jumpy I cant bear to look at it. The K750 videos are much less jumpy.

http://www.mobile-review.com/[....]/nokia/n90/photos/Video011.mp4
And some testclips recorded by mobile-review show the same problematic stutter.

If you think the N90 is a new world of videophones competing with real videocams, then you are really a naive victim of nokia marketing.

@ numb, i couldnt agree more mate.
I have a XDA2, which records in MP4 aswel. It too suffers from the bad stuttering video and poor sound quality.
I just forget what size video it records in, but its not much smaller than the N90. So, for a PDA phone thats 18 months old, i'd expect more from the "new" N90.
Heres an example:
http://rapidshare.de/files/2105317/video_00031.mp4.html
As you can see, although it records video larger than the K750i, the quality is much worse - just like the N90.
I'm starting to feel rather disappointed about the N90 now, i was considering buying one later this year but now i'll have to rethink my plans.

yeah I remember my first impression when I read about the N90 was WOW, great specs, should I get a Nokia for once, but now Im not so sure, the more I dig into it, the more I feel, oh well its "just" another s60 nokia, with a good camera. A good phone no doubt, but nothing really mindblowing or that extraordinary. Camera is good, but not really better than K750, neither is video, and its hughe and heavy which definately does not suit me to well. Where I live there are no edge and 3g covery is very poor and expensive, so these are not factors I take into consideration. That doesnt leave to many reasons for me to trade my K750 (which I love) for the N90

now hes calling the k750 buggy.... what else is he gonna come up with ???
and 8-9fps ??? damn, i didnt know the video on the N90 sucked so much...
considering the human eye catches about 30-40fps than those videos must really be crap !!!
oh and let me correct some1 who said that it cant compete with todays camcorders...
the fact is it cant even compare with the video on the cheapest 3MP digital cameras out there right now !!!!
Greetings from planet Pluto !!!
