chloekwan when i normally cancel a contract, they normally pass me over to a "specialist team" to try and convince me to stay by trying to offer me better offers etc, but i always say no to them, then once they have tried to keep hold of u, they then say ok, when you want ur contract cancelled. Thats what normally happens to me lol.

thank you...i have got 4 contract with them and only recently when i tried to cancel it, instead of calling me they just wrote me a letter confirming cancelation and ask me if i ever change my mind i can ring them which to me now, its makes me feel that they are not bothered NEmore. so how long does it take for them to ring you?

They call you these days it seems. Took about 2-3 days in my case.
I finally got an unbranded K750i from Carphone Warehouse. Didn't get a killer deal, but the phone was free, and I get to stay on Vodafone (great reception). They migrate you to THEIR Vodafone billing and customer service dept. and that surely has to be better than the muppets I have dealt with from Vodafone themselves up to now. Result and hassle free.
The phone is fantastic, a massive improvement over my 6230.

I'm with Voda at the mo. I believe you've got to serve 30 days notice before you cancel. When you get your PAC to take your number to a new network, you've got that month to port the number. Trouble is, you could end up paying 2 lots of bills for a month, 1 for your old network, 1 for your new network.
Carphone Warehouse told me a couple of weeks ago they had some black unbranded K750i's on Voda. Even that's not gonna convince me to stay with the network.

hi i thought i would join the forum as im a soon to be k750i owner, sadly with the voda branding. but i did talk to vodafone and they said the mp3s not working isnt their fault and you can send them off or download the upgrade from SE website to get the menu option added back on, they blamed SE for the mix up.

I too am the not so proud owner of a Vodafone Live edition of the SE K750i
Vodafone failed to deliver it on the date that they told me but after a phone call to Customer Serviced it arrived a day after. At the time of ordering Customer Services said that it could be either a black or silver version that was being delivered but they could not tell me which. She advised that if I was unhappy with the colour that I could exchange it for the correct one.
When it arrived I called Vodafone who said that they couldn’t help and only supplied the silver LIVE version! Surprise surprise!!
My mate’s got the black one and the silver one is no comparison at all. It looks like one of the really old models and for me personally I just prefer the black one. Looks aside, I’m pretty disappointed about the loss in functionality and have e-mailed Sony (currently awaiting a response). I’ll let you know how I get on.

For anyone that's interested, I found this post regarding the Sony DRM Packager. This can be used to convert your mp3 files so they can be used as ringtones on the Vodafone K750i.
http://www.zedge.no/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=127337
There is a link to the software about halfway down the page. http://home.tiscali.ch/tutorials/drm_package r_1_21.zip
I've tried this out and it works.
Also noticed that you can buy the black front & back covers and the keys for the K750i. Has anyone tried this? Just wondered how easy it was.

Obviously not in Vodafones interest to "unlock the phone, hence me finding the Esato site and asking the questions! Can anyone else assist in me utilising my " lucky " gift
If you call voda's customer services, they'll sell you the network unlock code for £20. Doesn't require you to send the phone off, and (currently) not too different a price from the places advertising to do it for you, on ebay.

Does anyone know what's underneath the "Vodafone" logo? If we were to peel it off do you think it would show "quickshare" like this:
Who has the balls to peel his off?
I removed mine when the phone arrived. There is nothing at all underneath but in my opinion it looks a lot better (still not a patch on the black version tho!)

Sorry to hear some of the crap some of you guys have had to put up with from voda !! I've only just moved over to them when singlepoint were bought out.
I had to send my first

back and get an unbranded version, threatened to leave and was lucky enough last time to get an unbranded K700 but now I with voda direct I suspect i will have exactly the same problem !!
So based on what I've read, think i will try it on and ask them to confirm via email, (whilst I'm on the phone) that I will be getting an unbranded version to cover myself, if however, they can't supply an unbranded phone or even confirm they can via email then I will be saying

and asking for my pac code.
