Being a keen amateur photographer and having used most of the recent European camera phones (including the so far best K750i), I think none of them can - or indeed, is intended to - replace a regular digital camera. The final product - the image - is a combination of optics, imaging sensor and in-camera processing. The size, weight and price limitations of a camera integrated into a mobile phone prohibit a combination that could match even a low-end consumer digicam. To put it another way: would you be prepared to spend an extra 200 euros for a 250 grams heavy phone that takes pictures comparable to a garden variety digicam? I think not.

The first pic from your DSC-T33 is bad because i think either the camera does not has macro mode, or its diabled.

Click a picture from far, the digi cam should be slighly better or similar to the k750i.
