During a short period I now have the PS3 Killzone trailer encoded in the same high quality if anyone is interested...
http://www.algonet.se/~mcstream/killzone.mp4
192kbit/s video and 128kbit/s 44khz stereo audio...
Update: Just noted that audiosync is slightly off... I'll be correcting it shortly...

FireFreak> I just tried your settings and they work great - just a couple of questions:
- What does bitrate_tolerance do?
- Why not two passes? Won't that increase quality and reduce filesize?
- What to do if I ave a clip with an acpect ratio of 2.35? (640x272)?
- It looks like ImToo cuts away the black bars automatically?
- Can the k750i show video in a higher resolution than 176x144 if video is played in full-screen?

- yes, two passes would increase quality, firefreak is just lazy
- either crop it to a more suitable aspect ratio fitting the screen, or just leave it at aspect ratio 2.35, it will keep aspect ratio on the phone.
- No, max resolution is 176x144, full-screen just scale it to fill the screen, but the clip has to be encoded following the correct 3gp standards, which is max 176x144.

- Two passes: I just tried it - can't get it to work - anyone know how to do it in ImToo?
- Crop it: Well - i tried padding 20px top and bottom - I thourgt that it would squeeze the clip a bit since everything seems to be stretched a bit, however that made the clip unplayable on the phone - all I saw was a red box?! Also I have no black bars as I do with the original clip. It seems that ImToo has cut them away. This means that aspect ratio isn't preserved.
- Damn about 176x144 - it would be soo nice if the clip could fill the whole screen. As I recall the screen is 176x220px? Then the phone actually reduces the size of the clip from 176x144? Why not encode the clip in the size the phone can actually display?

Dont use IMtoo myself (I still beleive I get better results using freeware tools or nero recode), cant help specifically with IMtoo.
But
No, the phone does not reduce the size. The phones upscales from the 176x144 pixels which the clips is encoded in, to fill the screen of 176x220 when full screen is selected.
No, you cannot encode the clip in 176x220, it has nothing to do with the phone, but simple encoding rules. Just like a dvd has some rules to which resolutions can be used, so does the 3gp standard. And the rules of the 3gp standard says it has to be 176x144.

#FireFreak
By the way FireFreak, you challenged me to prove it by providing a clip and you would encode it in IMtoo using the same settings to prove me wrong, I supplied the clip in a previous post, but you didnt supply a clip from IMtoo using the same settings, so how about it ??
