JKR said in her BBC interview that she wanted Book 7 to be perfect, and she said that she wasn't going to write any prequels, because book 7 was going to satisfy everyone with all the answers.

I saw a post at Prodigits, Nokia s60 forum, where mention is made of a site where one could download ebooks, including Harry Potter, all 6 books apparently. Seems a bit below-the-belt though since J.K. obviously wouldn't see a dime in royalties
