they are
there are no indication what so ever that they are aware of this problem, though many have written to them and informed them everyone just get some stupid standard mailreply, one more stupid than the other.
Furthermore the firmwares are long overdue, and their no good updateservice just screwed up my K700 only 10 minuttes ago, having to sent it to servicecentre for repair for the next 4-6 weeks was not what I had in mind.
Totally useless twats, the lot of them.
I am a many year fan of S//E, but this could very well be my last poor experiences with S//E, they have failed me a litle to much lately. I have run out of patience, and faith, and are quickly moving on to something else.

Same here numb.
I think the K750i might very well be the last SE phone i buy for a while.
Samsung and Nokia have some really good phones at the moment, evem if they dont take pictures as good as the K750i.
If i do buy another SE phone, it'll probably be the P1000 Hermoine (or whatever it'll be called), and not another K or S series.

Yet more comparison madness. I think this time i have it cracked.
Picture taken 29/5/05, R1A firmware, 553kb:
(Original)
Picture taken 10/07/05, R1J firmware, 383kb:
Heres the latest two, taken 17/07/05, R1J firmware:
I took two, simply because i thought the first was a little blurred (i must have moved) but the second is slightly off centre.
When resized by Esato:
ORIGINAL : R1A FIRMWARE
SECOND LATEST PICTURE : R1J FIRMWARE
Very much identical pictures in quality terms IMO. Also, i prefer the latest to the original. Better colours, better everything pretty much.

so did we put the firmware releases relating to picture quality to rest?
@etaab, have you had a chance to experiment in terms of Video quality between to R1A, R1J ??!

As far as im concerned, the only difference in still picture quality between R1A and R1J/R1L is filesize, and maybe the tiny bit more jpeg compression which is hardly noticable.
Video quality is dramatically worse. On R1A firmware you'd expect videos to encode at around 200kbps. On R1J or R1L they encode at around 80kbps. So, whilst they're still the same resolution, they pixelate much much more and overall picture quality is rather bad. An up to date K750i now records video like the K700i and S700i before it - not terribly but for a new phone we'd expect much much more.

@pandthu
Dude you got a nice cat

but one really cant see the difference in the pics except the size(kb), i have seen other threads talking about the same problem and thats why i have not updated FW on my K750i, i did see some really bad after and before Video, convinced me not to update... me not having any probs with RA FW so will wait for a more stable FW..or will flash my phone with the RK(w800) FW

and have the best of both phones...but even the W800 has the 4.4 Video and not 3.3 ver of thr RA... so it as good as the RL (750i)..put some video up to compare on the comp maybe the difference will show up... cheers
