U no the 6280 has got the edge even no the N-series. The N91 is cool, but big and heavy! 6280 has less storage but is 3G slide design, small & light with 2MP cam. So whats so special about the N-series? Cheers

Yep u right. and it expensive too! and it's model changes too fast. late model becomes old in such short times. in other words nokia forces ppl to update its phone evently.

Naith, the Nokia N-gage only has a 104mhz CPU, and it renders better, more complex 3D graphics than the K700i quite easily. Even the mighty P series of phones can handle games like V-Rally with their slow 156mhz cpu's.
Are you sure you are a software developer ? after all its not the speed of the CPU that matters the most, but how many calculations it can process through bandwith. I would have thought a software developer would know such information.
I do agree with you though, that the N90 should not be compared with the K750i, other than on camera quality - of which the K750i wins hands down.

@etaab,
Ya man, now you are talking! It's all about the capability which is measured in flops/s. But in a mobile phones, i don't know what are the ranges. Normally for PCs it is measured in MFlops/s. But I think in mobiles it is highly dependent on the speed coz it doesn't have other rich resources like higher RAM/VRAM etc. Didn't actually did a research on that so, anyone out there having information? I'd really like to have my Java 3D apps running on on other models with the same speed as K700!
What V-Rally are you talking about? I only have played a simple V-Rally which can be played even on a T290? It's not very rich in graphics but the game is pretty good! Is that V-Rally you are talking about is better than that? If so, would you mind telling me where I could download that?
Enjoy.../

I'm talking about the actual Playstation conversion of V-Rally for the P series, which runs perfect to say the P900 has such a slow CPU.
Super Tennis on the K700i is far far far less complex and more basic (and slower to play) than V-Rally.
But thats all irrelevant. The point im making is, is that the K700i does not have a 400mhz cpu because its simply not needed. Its not even a smartphone.

why compare a 3G smartphone to the k750i and w800? they blatently aren't 3G smartphones and don't claim to be.
It's like comparing a Mclaren SLR to a VW Golf, both good in their respective fields, but you can't directly compare them.

Yes, i agree you can't compare a smartphone with a simple phone, 3g vs 2g, Nokia vs

just joking
i think the answer from Sony Ericsson will be Hermione (p1000?), but i'm almost sure it will beat N series from Nokia
Jus my opinion

SE tend to hold back with things like camera quality in their smartphones however.
Even when the P1000 does come out, i fear the camera might only be as good as the Z800i.

I think, Nokia N-series are placed in a different segment to K750i/W800i.
N90 is a good phone, better lens, better macro compared to the K750i. Don't forget also that it records video at twice larger size than K750i, and 4 times larger in bit-rate. And its display, though haven't seen it yet, i can say that it'll be the best one in the market. It even maybe better than S700i's.
This what happens in N91, too. Though the 2MP still-images are crap, it records video very well. N91, it has wi-fi, too.
The products are truly in a higher function than K750i/W800i.
But however, K750i/W800i offers some advantages such as more compact design, much lower price, better mp3 player (i guess) which are for some people will be great expectations.
So say wise, it's not truly a "bye-bye" for K750i/W800i. As for me, I don't need wi-fi, 4GB of hdd of N91; nor a big bulky design of N90; nor their very high prices, so I am sure to better pick K750i/W800i than those N-series.

How on earth do you know this ? simply because it has the Carl Zeiss label ?
You'e just proved my point that clever branding and marketing cloud peoples judgement. Since the phone isnt actually out yet, and i assume you havent examined the lens, how else did you come to this decision ?
