Would someone kindly be able to outline for me the K800’s ability (or lack thereof) of A2DP (stereo audio streaming over Bluetooth)?
jmcomms has previously stated yes, and
this website (found through Esato), also gives the thumbs up, however the specifications at the start of this thread don’t, nor the
official SE K800i website aren’t clear on this.
Asssuming the phone could support such a profile, once set up - would it just be a matter or pressing the phone’s play button (or in the media player), and the audio automatically being streamed to the receiving device?
Additionally, would A2DP rule out the need for portable hands free products (such as BlueAnt’s Supertooth hands free)?
So that when listening to music through a Bluetooth-enabled car stereo, or just driving with Bluetooth turned on, the phone would automatically channel the audio to the car stereo system?

what phone do you have right now? if you have the k750 or w800 just wait for the k790i. but if you have lower end phones. i might consider the w810. i like the way it looks better than k790. although screen and camera is better on the k790. but again like what you said... nobody knows when it will come out and how much

@ rockygali - if only it were that simple. Whats the point in releasing a new handset and then giving it old features ? sure, video recording quality may not be the most important feature, but to not update it when all its competitors are updating is a stupid decision.
Imagine if suddenly SE decided not to give the K800i mp3 playback, or removed the T9 dictionary, people would go crazy. The video recording is IMO a very important feature for a phone branded with the Cybershot name, so by not updating it in line with the static camera quality, they're literally shooting themselves in the foot.

SE already has a phone with good video recording: W900.
I guess SE's plan is to release a newer phone than K800, one with a 3.2MP camera too and W900-like video recording capabilities a few months after K800's release.
That's what they did with W900. They released it with a similar 2MP cam like K750/W800 but improved video recording.

The K750i and phones of the same screen resolution simply cannot playback higher video resolutions, which is why they probably cannot capture them.
@ K790 - probably because the K790i and K800i are so closely related, the K790i simply isnt necessary in the UK market because the K800i has everything it has, and more. The K790i is simply a K800i for countries that dont have 3G, but do have EDGE.

I see now you beleive me when i was talking about the accelerator card in the w900.
In regards to the video on the k800, until we have seen an actual filmed clip i dont think we can really kick up a fuss. Im surprised though even eldar didnt put any video clips in her 5 part review of the phone on mobile review.
