I have the same issue with the sliding menu and I'm still on R4DB005. I only have the sliding highlight on the Main Menu and the top level of the File Manager, everything else is just a "jump" not a "slide".
Personally though, I don't really care. Sure I like the slide better aesthetically, but the jump is marginally quicker and I guess I prefer the speed as I am only using their interface to view MY DATA (photos, audio, contacts etc.) and not for their animations.

@Kristoffer neither mine (W810) does, but some people around here complain of hissing on theirs. i dunno if those're naysayers jumping on the omfg the w800 hissed and now the w810 hisses too omfg the w810 sucks FAR cant support it omfg bandwagon; i have yet to personally come across a W810 that hisses. so there, some warning
@Rob-D it's always been like that since R4CE. I crudely recall my W600 doing the same thing-animations in places and none in others

I'm having the camera problem. A month ago I was taking pics, no problem. I was on the phone with them and they had me try everything, nothing worked so I had to send the phone in for service. Before I sent it in, I did a master reset all and lost my themes (expect for the walkman one). When I sent it in, I believe they reflashed it and from what the work order said, they replaced some part. Now, it doesn't take any pictures. Let me explain. When I go into the camera app, either though the menu or click and hold the shutter button and try to take a pic, it says "saving" for about a half a second and then bumps me out to the main menu or standby mode. No matter what settings I change (phone memory or Memory stick) it still fails. The odd thing is that when I change to panoramic or frames, it does take the picture fine. Also, video works fine. Again, I tried to reset (user) as some people that worked for them, but no go. I also tried to reset all which didn't work either. Now I lost my themes which I'm not happy about. I am a US customer with a unbranded SE W810i running software ver: CXC1250317 and FW: R4EA031. Thoughts?

At times I get warning beeps to end call when other party hangs up.
Also when activating camera, the camera buton flashes for about 5 seconds.
Are theses bugs? Or is this normal?

Hey I just tried using SEUS to update my firmware and now my phone will not turn on... all it does at one time was blink/flash a white screen.... is it broke already? I followed the onscreen instructions turn off, removed sim, reinsert batt, press and hold C then insert usb cable... everything went find up until it detected W810i APAC then it tried downloading the files then it stated "do not touch the phone" then it would stop and comeback to the first screen on SEUS
