Granted, on tonights performance France played the best, but all their other games have been shite. Two crap results in one day...

I cant believe how bitter some people are about Portugal winning. The comments I am seeing from people looking for arguments amaze me.

Going back to the England vs Portugal game, does it not look like a replay of World Cup 98-ish, where Beckham got sent off against Argentina and that lost us the game and chance of advancing. This seems exactly the same, in the Quarter-Finals again and like Beckham's sending off it was because of the reaction afterwards with Rooney. I think if Rooney (who I actually don't like much anyway) had've controlled himself then I think he may have escaped with a yellow, and since I think before his sending off England were the dominate/stronger looking side anyway, so I think we could have won the match. Damn doesn't the past have a habit of sneaking up on you... Same could be said with the Brazil vs France game tonight and World Cup 98.

Yeah with extra time and without the dive at the end, I think that Australia could've won that...

BRAZIL 0 - 1 FRANCE

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4991616.stm

"France fully deserved this victory, orchestrated by the superb Zidane, who fully deserved his Budweiser Man of the Match Award. The 34-year-old was simply sensational in this match, supplying an inch-perfect cross for Henry’s goal and showing a superb range of passing and skills throughout the 90 minutes."
