How do you do that?

Menu > Settings > Gerneral Tab > New Events

choose from Activity Menu or Pop-Up.
Pop up is the old styled alert.

I'm not sure if this actually qualifies as a bug but it is certainly something I would like to see on my K800i as it was featured on my k750i and I found it very useful:

When sending a text message on my k750i I would be given the option to cancel sending immediately after I clicked 'send'....this saved me a lot of grief more than once!!

This feature does not appear on the k800i?

Some might say that it was an advancement. Seeing as it allows u to continue using the phone while the message was sending. I think if you hit or hold the back button while in the standby screen and u there is either an internet icon or a sending message icon in the top bar it asks whether or not u wish to terminte the connection... I think i saw this in my k700 and s700... but i cant be sure.

Unfortunetly i cant really try it with my k800i because its 3g and when i click send on a sms it sends instantly. Actually this might be another reason they removed the cancel option, maybe the message on 3g sends so fast the user cant cancel it anyway.

That is true, but if you did have this option then you would not have the background sending feature of the K800 which, in my opinion, is more useful.

I agree, the background sending feature is useful and no doubt explains the loss of the cancel button - just gonna have to be a bit more careful what I write.....especially after a few beers!

Look at the first post at the stuff just after the firmware overviews.

The sure fire way is to look at the CDA of the phone. See the first post for info on getting the CDA and also a list of UK CDAs.

Hm...just being curious...
After 22 days of using K800i I notice some 'new" things:
1. The intermittent White Screen that flashes during navigation is really really decreasing...It used to be 10 times in an hour...now it seems to be only once in an hour...weird, isn't? I don't know what I have done on it.

2. When I set the shortcut on navigation up joystick, it used to be back to default. But it doesn't now. It remains as my shortcut I decided even though I reboot, take out the battery or else...weird...I was 100 % sure that it was back to default (the Video Player) several days ago...what have I done?

3. No more crashes when navigating Contact List...hm...

Is it because I have taken out the battery for an hour long and put it back? Have done it as a routine after I fully recharge my battery..and in a routine turn off the phone/ reboot the phone.
Don't worry mine is still R1CB001 CHINA APAC....
