I think when n-Gage fully launches, then SE might carry out Playstation phones since it should be the right moment.
I personally think Nokia is trying to compete with SE(Walkman...music? ring any bells?)

Obviously... Remember Sony Ericsson annonced their new Media Manager Interface (and Walkman 3), Nokia responded by including a new media interface too (we can see this in N81).
Only Nov 15 can tell if Sony Ericsson will raise their ranks.

Both K660 and W890 uses JP-8, while W380 has JP-7.
Code names? Not sure. Akiko?
