can anyone confirm that R1FA030 will work with Optus branded mobiles from Australia.
Maybe only the people who were able to update to R1EA033 can update to the new firmware.
I personally was unable to update to R1EA033.
Cheers.

To those who have updated to the R1FA030....is your phone branded ?
Usually unbranded ones get priority when it comes to updating firmwares
Ohh and also, hows the battery life performance? Better than the previous firmware?

R1FA030
- Released on SEUS on 28/05/2008
Performance
- JBenchmark 3D LQ: 411
- JBenchmark 3D HQ: 412
Software versions:
EROM: 1200-4341
SEMCBOOT: R6A008
LCD: 200708310
Camera: 1.7
Videocall camera: 3.2
Content: PA25
Java: 8.2.1
Text: BO
seems to me that the LQ performance increased but the HQ performance decreased a bit from R1EA033. free memory left after the JBenchmark test is lower than what i got last time when i did it for R1EA033. SEMCBOOT's software version is lower, videocall camera, content, java and text seems to be the only ones that are newer. i tried autorotate and closing the slide but it seems to be the same. first thing i noticed that seems to be faster is when u click on new message.. it instantly comes out. other than that, dont really see much difference.. gonna try some games out and see if its slower or faster (:

Just tried out some of the most demanding games that i have... PGR, NFS Prostreet (240X320 ver) and Asphalt GT 3 3D [all are 3D games]. first thing, first load of the games are noticeably slower, but second load and onwards its damn fast. when playing NFS:PS it still lags as much as R1EA033, but might be due to a bug in the game. Although, one thing that i notice in common with all 3 games, is that the cars are much sharper and the colours are richer! and PGR and Asphalt3 seems to have a slightly better performance and the graphics seem to be much improved.. some games like PGR's fonts seem to be smaller, and non-3D games seem much faster too and graphics are also improved. thats all for now, i'll see if i can find any more improvements
