spektykles,

now that we are bored after new xperias announcement, would you care to elaborate about foldable you mentioned a while ago?

Foldables are not necessary. Tablet and smartwatch are.
Imagine a Z4T with current internals. 😍

Sony should go foldable. The 1 series style foldable would be a great thing, probably the top foldable design (and price) wise.

Htc U23 pro humiliates 10v ... For €50 more.

I hope to see some special sauce that Sony is known for (like how 1 series has the 4K screen), for example, having the screen with the most % of glass of any foldable screen on the market.

foldables bodies restrict size of batteries. Cant fit 5000 in there to handle 4K screen.

I think Sony will not go foldable because they likely know flexible display will not be able to withstand multiple hard folds. Rolling display yes. But not direct hard folds.

No word if ace4 is canceled. Docomo does not list it for summer lineup.

Again the useless 60mm camera. 😒
I hope they drop texturized back.

with the rather high price of normal xperia models in general, a fold-able xperia will be ridiculously expensive.

If you really believe that I'd say you're mistaken.

Can't means a physical restriction entirely - which nobody knows outside of engineering and design at the top foldable companies.

my case in point:
Oppo's Find N2 Flip - only their 3rd foldable (first generation flip) has a 4300 mAh battery ... just 700mAh shy of your 5000 'Can't statement'

Can't and will not are completely separate.

All manufacturers will not due to current battery parts bin ... much cheaper to go with what is currently available than engineer and entirely new design.

2024 we'll see their Find N2 replacement having this and Galaxy Fold 5 as well as others.

i am talking about flip style. Vivo is 4400mAh the largest one. If you images of xperia, battery is very close to periscope, not entirely in the lower half of the body. About the booky style, there is weight balance issue if you try to fit tablet battery in one of the halves.

Does anyone have any reliable information on whether the Xperia 1 V has UFS 3.1 or UFS 4.0 storage?
