none yet. Some countries prohibit silencing of the camera sound, in those countries silent mode will not shut the camara up.

Odd, mine has that "Silent Shutter" option. I just go to camera settings and go to Shutter Sound and put it to "Off"

We down here at APAC-ANZ also have that shutter sound off option, just for the record.

Is there a backup of the original cam driver anywhere before I try the modded driver?

Yeah that is a possiblity. I hope that will work, unfortunately I will then lose the orginal file. But that is not a big problem.

It's a shame there are so many problems with this handset, all of which seem to be about build quality. I'm not surprised by now however.

really need an overhaul if this is the best they can do. They charge £350 for a phone with a slider that wobbles, rocks, a loose lens cover, scratched keys....
and add another: the paint on my top keys is coming off at the sides. Already!
Along with this stupid YouTube issue and dissapointing picture quality, this phone is getting on my nerves. Thinking seriously of selling it and buying an i8510, Renoir or Pixon. Falling out of love with

's pants build quality very quickly here.

Not in Australia, and some other countries too. I've had to mod all my camera phones to get the silent shutter option. Atleast this has been the case with Telstra Vodafone and Optus phones I've had.

Aren't we talking about C905?? A2uploadr doesn't work with C905 I thought....?
If a2uploader does work then yes deleting the camera sound will disable the camera sound... I've done this to my W910.

Most of the issues I've had are to do with the Orange software which is not gone
I've not had mine long enough to have any serious problems with build quality, although I do notice the wobbly slider.
I too am wondering if I should just have got the i8510.
