Yes my phone was recognized too but update won't continue, says "Your firmware is up to date" or something like that, but after downgrade and customize with generic Central Euro CDA SEUS start flashing my phone i just don't wan't to risk when i only change CDA on my previous Firmware 038 like Yours and the phone at home can't be flashed by seus,so i dongraded it and reflashed at home with no problems

Yes I had the same thing, mine was a Vodafone branded R1DA038 and will not update on SEUS, so I flashed with the 037 firmware like I said above on Da Vinci, then updated to r1ea031 on SEUS without any problems.

So far no bugs, touch wood!

So after few days of using the phone with new firmware, i must say:

1. Battery problem is solved but it is not perfect! Must be optimised more!
2. Damn it, how can i use Java as wallpaper??? WTF
3. Contacts list is not fast enough!!! This is really important for me
4. Media player is louder
5. Camera/video are better, but not perfect!!! Found bug, when switching the button fast from one mode to another and then press the Hang on button, not often, but it happens, the camera switches off but blue LEDs are still on

Besides Davinci, I personally recommend www.kulankendi.com to flash your A2 phones...My friend just tried it to reflash his K850i and it worked like a charm...

Try the smart search.
I always use that instead of contact list.

When I bought my phone it has Adriatic software 029, and I managed to update it to 037, but after that it was changed in a phone service to Central Europe software (it wasn't a SonyEricsson center, and I don't realy know what procedure did they use to change the language pack...) with the characterictics mentioned above. I hope that I'll manage to make updates...

Is that absolutely necesarry to be fully charged the phone battery? Because I tried now at 20%. However the update service says there is no update available, your phone is up-to-date.
If I try to update it fully charged is that possilbe to make a succesful update?

Hi. The Service Centre you've just visited had turned your CDA into the invalid one. The correct CDA for A2 phones should be xxxx-xxxx. The x represent a digit. For example 1201-8437. Your CDA CDA102295/1 R11A is NOT a valid one for K850. Therefore, SEUS couldn't update your phone to the latest version. You can change your CDA via www.davinciteam.com or www.kulankendi.com . Good luck.

If you plug it into SEUS, does it give you the option to "Continue Anyway" atfer saying you are already up to date? If so, reflash with SEUS and do Master Reset after you power it back on. Failing this I beleive you need a Tech Centre (Or Davinci if you dont mind spendin 8quid) to do a full over-write install of the firmware. Should be fine after one of these.

All I know is I debranded via Davinci (Western Euro) then updated SEUS and I havent had a single fault yet. I have done mass storage mode HEAPS and use accelerometer themes and Media player all the time on a 4GB card and never a problem!

Maybe there are some units out there that actually do work perfect??

I tried going through the continue anyway and managed to get it to do a master reset. It goes through it and then reboots and has the please wait and bar going across but seems to restart itself before the bar completes and gets in an endless loop of saying please wait.

I don't mind giving this davinci thing a go as i know how slow and painful sending stuff back to the service center can be. Just no idea what i am looking for really when i get there as theres a few firmwares for the k850i. Mines a phone in the UK that was originally on o2 i believe but was unlocked. It was a friends old one so i can't be certain of the original network till i ask them.

Cheers,

Nick

I tried MobyToday a few weeks ago on my R1CA037 K850i, but it is not allowed to be used as wallpaper. I installed on the phone memory. When I had K800i it worked.
