Triluminos reproduces a greater range of colours than standard LED backlighting to deliver true, natural shades, just the way you want to see them. In conjunction with X-Reality PRO technology, it brings you a sharp, detailed picture from whatever source you’re watching – whether it’s low-res YouTube™ video or 4K TV.

Toss in a bionz camera processor, a G lens made for phones, magnetic fluid speakers, white magic displays, dragontrail on both sides, to make the phone as tough as the Active, wireless charging (they have it on certain Cybershot models), removable back along with extended battery options along optional back cover if it makes the phone thicker, make it even more waterproof down to 30 feet like some Cybershots, floating touch display... I will be SUPER happy
And 5-inch thick, oh that would be really sweet!

haha geez.. is it wish list time or something? having a waterproof camera with a removable back sounds like a lot of "lawsuits" because the phone wasn't "waterproof" but it was really because people didn't put the cover back on properly.
it all sounds nice but remember guys.. it's just a phone
but while we're at it. i want mine to have an espresso dispenser.

As I sit here, my cousin with his Xperia Go is beside me which is waterproof and has a removable back

So it's possible and Sony is capable of it, but I don't think the glass backs have enough flexibility to ensure people won't easily break them when removing them though.
I still feel it would be great if Sony could design a removable battery door like those used on compact cameras. That way no need for a removable back, but it might add bulk to the design. I believe Sony Ericsson did use that design once a while back, so it is possible.

Actually Xperia V and Active also have a removable back.
The battery being sealed in my opinion is due to Sony squeezing a bigger battery inside.
And there's a warning that any water detected inside the phone board will void warranty.

I think it was the C905.

C905 wasn't waterproof nor did it have an espresso machine attachment. It was, however, the best camera phone Sony/SE they've produced to date.

I wish the cybershot series will make a comeback on the Xperia range.

My post was in reply to a better battery access option, like a battery door at the bottom. I think the C905 had that.
