I believe if there are 1000 person waiting for 5mp maria, maybe in the middle of the waiting 300 persons is getting n95, 50persons is getting lg's 5mp, 200 persons gettin
Samsung 5mp/10mp.
So
customer is far much lesser now.
There are few possible solution to minimize their loses.
1. As i mention in my few post before. LEAK is important, so we dont wait for our princess blinfolded (what if our princes is a monster?)
2. Learn from public opinion and other manufacturer
3.FIRE your stubborn, inefficient&traditional minded staff or director
4.More/bigger R&D

for every one of you that moans about SE not being cutting edge or whatever, there's another 10 that's pleased with what's on offer. for example, do I need a 5MP camera in a phone seriously? do I need DVB-H or whatever it's called? no, I need a phone with a decent camera that looks good and feels good. what do I get? the T650i, I'm pretty pleased with that.
how do I prove my point? have a look at how SE is doing, in terms of returns on investment? compare that against say, Nokia?

People, we are customers, not managers of phone manufacturers, move on to a brand that does it for you. If you are really concerned about SE as a business become their CEO or manager, cos you seem to have alot to say about how SEs mobile phone portfolio and technology are dissapointing. Dont forget we just want a good phone that suits us. If a phone doesnt suit you, MOVE ON and find one that does. Why get attatched to phone brands when another suits you better? If nokia n95 appeals to you (which of course it will, almost everyone on here are mobile geeks and have to have the best), get it! Save your bickering for goodness sake!

Well, YOU might not need it, other people might find those functions useful and want it. SE's have been coming out with phones with specs worse than phones from two years ago. Their Walkman phones have no AF, I mean wtf man, their cameras are total bullshit without AF. Their phones costs a fortune yet the specs suck ass. Their designs are alright, but that's not what everybody wants. People want better features than the ones they keep on reusing. Basically, when a new phone from SE Walkman gets leaked, one can usually assume it's 2 mp cam w/ no AF, Walkman software and the usual.
I'm not exactly a fanboy of Nokia, but you have to admit, their phones are good all-rounders. They have good music players and decent cameras, plus the Symbian OS.
I was a SE fanboy till they totally disappointed me after the K800i. NO phones from SE are interesting after the release of the K800i. In my opinion, the W900i was the only phone from SE that was actually interesting and decent. It had a good mix of camera, music, video recording, good screen, good memory, and a pretty good UI.

I believe that you speak for yourself when you say 'others'. Face it, the majority of the market does not care about these features that you speak of, how many people buy a phone so that they can take good pictures or videos? how many people would bother debating about a/f or no a/f? how many people know what aperture means?
