There has been a distinctive lack of high-end multimedia devices.
A 3.2MP device with a Walkman player can't be that difficult to bring to market.
Apart from HSDPA on the Z750i, there has been no real breakthrough devices so far this year so it would be nice to have them announced and launched before Christmas.
In fact it would be a good idea to have any 'sophisticated' devices launched before the busy 4th quarter as it will be giving themselves plenty of time to iron out any BUGS that may appear.

Shinobu is HSPDA walkman slider, 2mp, 2.4 inch screen, new ui with hang/ pick up keys. Rumour pics were released a while go with nicole as well which will apparently have sagem ui.

Probably, but it has been hinted at in this thread that there is more than one 5.0MP phone in development / testing and the green 'sofia' pic that we seen looked to be quite old and battered as if it had been around for a while - although from what I can remember the picture was taken late 2006.
