The first xperia, the X1 came out in october 2008, announced in February though, meaning 10 years of xperia would be this year. Would be great to see Sony releasing something unique for the 10 years of xperia but not holding me breath.
Perhaps sony will release a 10th year anniversary xperia theme to their phones

Yep.but could also be used as 12 MP pixel binning ( quality up for debate) 1.6 UM for lowlight.
Just wanted to share I don't think it's related to Sony flagship.
