@bengalboy, another question. Have you tried playing any mp4 movies not captured by the phone? If so what is the playback like compared to the P910i? is it smoother and better in fullscreen mode?
If you have not tried a movie, please try one and let us know what it's like?

Yes, I tried playing movies encoded with PVAuthor and SmartMovie .... my unit will not load them returning a "corrupt file" error. I don't think that at this time my firmware or maybe UIQ 3.0 will accept anything not specifically coded for this OS. The embedded movie plays very smoothly and looks great like they always do... but even it does not play in full resolution. So, I can't really test the movie portion of it at this time...although I have taken photos of the "Gone Fishing" movie playing on the P990 in both regular and full screen modes.....
As for TomTom... I hope that they developer offers a free upgrade for current owners...but ...... I can tell you that I am being told that there will be no backward-compatability with the new UIQ 3.0 OS and the old UIQ applications. Good New is ...... its more Powerful and Graphical so a new TomTom will probably be much easier to look at as well as more fun to use on the Beautiful Screen!!

I believe that the Bluetooth Stereo profile is supported... I don't have any bluetooth stereo headphones at this time, but, the Media Player has a drop down box for "Transfer Sound" from handset to bluetooth...so I would say that is a very strong indication that the profile is present on my P990i.. Great News!!

u get the chance to tell the world how amazing this phone is, and yet all u can come up with are photos of ugly (probably Russian)(cheap a*s) chics and.. a few UI pics of the phone at the end.
what about Wi-Fi ? this is probably one of the greatest features of this phone ? but does it have good coverage? is the battery drain to high ? does it connect easily to hot spots ???
what about 3G ? do video calls look good on it ?
games ? how do they look on the screen ? do they run smoothly ?
excel and pdf files? is the compatibility good? are they easy to see on the screen ?
video. whats the quality of the recorded videos ?
anyways. next time just make the review smaller, and have more quality info in it. i dont wanna scroll through 20 different images of the P990 compared to the crappy Qtek.
i wanna find out details about this phone and i wanna know if it is what SE claims it to be.

Just to confirm my evaluation of you is a "DumbASS" is based on objective criteria...
1. You insult me and my site. There are plenty of other sites to visit including Esato where you have a different format.... I choose to do my site differently because its not a pure "phone based" site and it never will be. Why would a person insult you first and then ask for your help in answering his questions?? Because he's a DumbASS!! It usually goes in reverse order..... you want something from me, I don't give it to you, and then you insult me because you've got nothing to lose...
2. You obviously haven't read the material or you would know that its a review in progress. Not completed, wasn't even originally intended to be a complete review but I decided to take questions from people at Esato who are into SE phones and use them to proceed through my review... one of which,,, "WiFi" has already been answered along with most of your questions in addition to a tutorial on how to setup your P990i's WiFi connection when you receive it. Are you Blind?? No, your a DumbASS who can't wait to fire off an insult before he actually reads the material he is criticizing....
3. Your insult has just closed my discussion about this phone on this site because I can deal with DumbASSes Like you on My Site... But I don't have control over this one... Whether that makes a difference to you or not is probably moot..... but whether it makes you popular with the other Members of esato who were interested is probably of more importance and just proves in conclusion what a "REAL DUMBASS YOU ARE!!"

I can not believe Tazmania's post.... I am gobsmacked....
Bengalboy has introduced us to some of the P990 features that we were unfamilar with... screen shots that I personally had not seen anywhere else....and in a time where everywhere else has been silent on P990 news...Bengalboy's preview has been welcomed by me and I guess everyone who has interests in this SE....
All I wish to add is thanks Bengalboy for your time over the festive period...
