it's a hardware, not firmware installation

Ouch that's not good. Thanks for the reply though.

Actually he has no idea, it could be done with a firmware.

Do you think SE would include G in a firmware upgrade then? Have they dont similar things in the past with their older models? Can future W960 owners actually anticipate it?

The question was not can I expect a firmware update, rather a question of if it was possible, and yes, it is more than likely possible. As for if they would, who knows? It's not like SE has released 75 wifi enabled phones and we can get an accurate picture of what they may or may not do.

That's a bit odd... if it works on the P990, it should work on the M600 and W950 as well, unless it only works via Wifi. If that's the only hindrance, then it should work on the P1i, and the W960 as well.

Hi, sorry, but I'm new to the whole forum thing and decided to register here because of my increasing interest in the W960i. Anyways, I just ran across an article over on cnet were they were talking about Sony's new location free player. In the article they coincidentally mentioned support for the device on a Sony cell, the P990i!...

Here's the url if you want to check out the article for yourself: http://crave.cnet.com/8301-1_105-9746422-1.html?tag=cnetfd.mt

Thanks,
Mike

Acording to my sources, W960 release will be before what was expected, just like what is happening with the P1. Expect it to September/October, never December

Ares, how sure are you dude? If you're pretty certain I may just hold tight for a while and skip the P1i and go directly for the W960

SE would be smart to release, and release it in a big way, before the iphone is released here in the UK. Otherwise the W960 will no doubt sink.

I hope so...

I don't know but I feel W960 will be released some times end of August or erly September, maybe K850 will be in the same time or one month later than W960

8GB is plenty. I've got over 100 albums on mine (with album art).

I'd be surprised to see it released this side of september, but I don't get any info on that side of things.
