Hi all,

Maybe someone could clarify something for me just received a E-mail from SE which highlights the the W910 and it's features and lists them as

Stay active, stay mobile

Up to 900 tracks
The Walkman® player lets you customise your music in style
Shake control - flick your wrist to control your tunes
SensMe™ - choose your music to suit your mood
Large 2.4" LCD screen: horizontal or vertical - you choose!

Now where it says "flick your wrist to control your tunes" it strikes me that from what others have said in this thread that isn't actually quite true is it?
As in fact it's hold down a button and flick or wrist or have i got this wrong? and if i haven't isn't that misleading advertising at the very least? not forgetting not being true.

Marc

Hi Masseur,

Thanks for giving that explanation but from what you have printed it still seems clear as mud as it doesn't really make it clear if you do 2 in conjunction with one or by itself. That is why i have asked, someone with a W910 care to clarify this please.

Anyone got an Orange W910i?

If so, how do you change the menu layout/colour?

When you hold the phone in your hand. Hold the phone while pressing the walkman button which is at the top of the phone (it's a little awkwary to hold).

To skip to the next song, jerk the phone to the right (or the phones right). You will hear a single beep confirming the action.

To go back to the previous song, jerk to the phone to the left. Again, you will hear a beep confirming that it worked.

If you want to skip to a random song, shake the phone at least twice. You should hear two beeps.

This could be done with the phone locked as well. Also, the traditional way of holding the volume buttons work as well (locked buttons or not).

Hi

Many thanks for the answers so you have to push a button as well as shake the phone which is what i thought from what users had said but not what the SE bullet points say at all.

It clearly indicates in the images and text below it, that you have to hold the button for both functions.

I found that you can hold the phone comfortably this way, but unless im showing off, i'll probably use the traditional buttons.

@darrenj1

I agree but as i said if you look at my post that includes the bullet points you will see that is not what SE implies at all is it?
