prices here for pre-paid (payg) 3g iphones are:

8gb - $729aud = about 355gbp (black only)
16gb - $849aud = about 413gbp (black or white)

and you can unlock them for $80aud = 39gbp

so total for an unlocked 3g iphone from down under:

8gb - $809aud = 394gbp
16gb - $929 = 452gbp

just thought id let people know if anyone wanted an iphone from here at the prices above, give me a shout (pm), im more than happy to help out. they seem better priced here than many other places around the world.

ciao

A question if i take out my o2 contract sim to put in another phone and put my son's contract sim in (whos on o2 as well although not sure if he even wants the i phone!!) will that be ok? i.e will he be able to use the i phone ok? or is it locked to my sim only? sorry if sounding thick but this is my first time on contract with o2 (always been on orange before)....am loving the i phone but thanks to all my nagging at work about not giving us blackberry's they finally go and decide to give us one! so hubby taking over my contract but does'nt want the i phone! he wants to stick to his nokia 6500!

Has anyone noticed any cracks yet on theirs? Apple took down the thread and poll on their forum which got to around 16%. Thats quite a high number considering its only been out a few weeks.

Its a shame how much quality has been compramised in bringing the price down.

Not unlocked as yet for two reasons:
1) Waiting tip I'm sure there are no drawbacks.
2) Not really sure how to go about it!
