Cualcomm 820 is not a midrange cpu, don't make stupid comments about that becouse exynos is faster doesnt say a thing.

Xperia X performance is all about performance not just banchmarking competition like Samsung does, even mij old Xperia Z1 run very smooth even smooter tan a Galax S4 and thats is a fact, Sammboys always benchmark obession fanatic, Samsung know that

i'm talking about xperia x with sd650(599 euro)

No. Why else do you think that they missed out some key markets, like the UK, for the Xperia X Performance? : Because they will have a global flagship in September at IFA2016. You also don't honestly think that Sony won't release a new phone at IFA2016, do you?!?

I can see Sony start doing a Samsung. Releasing the smaller phones at MWC and the true flagship at IFA.
Would make sense to me with their new factory in Thailand.
I don't see why they wouldn't be able to get a bigger chunk of the market. Sony have the know-how for sure, they just have mismanaged. I know you can keep saying that for all eternity but such a major corporation as Sony, doesn't become a tech giant without the ability to pull the right strings.
I truly hope I am right.

About missing out on some key markets. Yes that was also something I was thinking about. Germany and the UK are Sony's strongest markets.

Atsushi Makino: About the future of the Z series, at the moment can not comment, but the Z5 series will continue to sell, and therefore see X and Z simultaneously coexist in the market situation in the future. Z5P is a great phone, Sony Mobile also saw the market demand for large-screen phone, but at the moment can not reveal future plans.

That's an old link, unfortunately. It has already been posted on this forum. Now, because the Xperia X Performance is not selling in key markets like the UK and Germany, it has nearly guaranteed that Sony will release a flagship, at IFA2016; better than it - regardless of whether or not it's a Z series. Basically, we are all now just waiting until IFA2016...

There isn't a hard and set rule that new devices should only be announced at tech shows. The true global flagship for the year could be announced and released before IFA or even very late in 2016.

@RickyD
Update the first post

Well considering there is no 4k recording in the X performance, or at least not in the hands on video I posted in the X performance thread, it does leave space for a new device, perhaps 4gb ram, 820 with 4k screen and 4k recording sized larger and more closer to the note series?
